Did you know that spiral rib pipe is manufactured from a continuous strip of metallic coated or polymer coated steel? The steel sheet is then passed through a roll forming line that forms the external ribs and the edges. The rolled shape section is then helically formed into pipe and the edges are joined by lock seaming. Did you know that there are many types of pipe corrugations? Corrugation profiles commonly used for pipes or conduits consist of circular arcs and alternating tangent segments or alternating rectangular ribs and flat segments. Corrugation profiles are typically described by pitch, depth and inside forming radius. Pitch is measured at right angles to the corrugations from crest to crest.
