Original plans for a new Chrysler Dealership in Pineville, NC included a modular reinforced concrete storm water detention system – but at a hefty price. After a value engineering process, it was decided to go with an aluminized steel pipe combination storm water management system, saving the owner over $300,000!
A 108” diameter system was used to meet the storage demands for the dealership, while other water quality requirements were met by incorporating sand bed filtration into several 142” x 91” CSP pipe-arch compartments attached to the 108” CSP system. Thanks to some quick thinking, storm water management will continue for decades to come but at a fraction of the original price!
